Community Quarry Day

AMOS, in partnership with Hedrick Industries, is pleased to host a Community Quarry Day at the Grove Stone Quarry in Black Mountain! Bring yourself, your family, or your friends to explore the geology of the quarry, engage in a macro-invertebrate stream study, and explore the flora surrounding the quarry! This exploration is an ideal adventure for our homeschooling community and our local environmental enthusiasts!

Time: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Age: Recommended for ages 3+ 

Fees: Tickets are $12.50 per person and are based on number of vehicles, as a limited number of vehicles can drive inside the quarry. Please select the ticket option that best fits your scenario. 

* Please Note: A minimum of 30 participants must sign up for this program to be executed. Full refunds will be issued in the even that the program cannot be held.
