3D Printing 3-hour Intensive
Date: 4/28/18 Pre-Registration Required.
Time: 9am-12pm with two short snack/stretch breaks.
Ages: 8+ Adults and Teachers welcome!
Fees: The cost for each participant is $50.00, for a total of 3 hours. Please refer to cancellation/refund policy included in the registration form for details.
Description: Curious about 3D Printing? What to feel like an expert on this amazing technology in only 3 hours? Join us in the AMOS STEM lab for a three hour intensive on how to design objects using computer aided design tools such as TinkerCad. In our first hour we will be getting used to the tools of design, the second hour will be about hardware and workflow. Our third hour will be spent printing prototypes of your designs on one of our three printers to take home and impress your friends and family with. This is a bring your own computer course, but computers are available to those who need them. This workshop is open to ages 8 and up. Please bring a snack, we will have two fifteen minute breaks. No nut products permitted.
-For Parking, we recommend Rankin St Parking Garage (1st hour is free).
Note to Parents:
-Please provide your student with a snack that can be eaten during break time. (No nut products permitted)
-Parental supervision is not required during these sessions and we highly recommend parents drop-off participants, as we encourage independent work.
-We expect students to be picked up promptly at 12pm. Parents will be charged an additional $5.00 for every 20 minutes after 12pm. There will be a sign-in/out procedure, with ID's required for pick-up, which must match a pre-authorized pick-up designee.
