Dinner Under Dinos - A Parent's Night Out
Fun for the whole family! Kids get a special night at the museum and parents can have a relaxed dinner, see a movie, go shopping, etc!
Parents - enjoy a night out downtown while treating your kid to a special after-hours event just for them- dinner and a movie at AMOS!
This fun-filled night includes pizza from a local vendor, free exhibit play, custom scavenger hunts for special prizes, and an optional kid-friendly movie. Parent drop-off begins at 5:30 with a pickup time between 8:30-9:00, plenty of time for you to enjoy a meal or get some shopping done without the kids!
Dinner Under A Dino is for child 5+. All children must be able to go to the bathroom independently. Children are encouraged to bring a cozy blanket, water bottle, snacks and/or an alternative meal. For more info contact edu@ashevillescience.org.

AMOS After Hours: Reaction and Attraction in the Natural World
Looking for something STEAM-y to do this Valentine’s? Join AMOS After Hours, an adults-only night with fun hands-on experiences and activities exploring the science of attraction, reactions, and bonds.
Take a guided peek into our gem and mineral collection and uncover how a little heat and a lot of patience form some of our most beautiful specimens. Put your chemistry to the test with chemical reaction matchmaking- will your love be explosive or will it
fizzle out? Embark on a forces of attraction quest for special prizes, or just grab a drink and get cozy for a globe show in our upcoming gallery space.
Tickets are available at ashevillescience.org. This is a 21+ event.

The discovery that happens at AMOS camps makes concrete, measurable contributions to student success, not only in the classroom, but in broader measures of youth development, maturity, and career success.
Each day is filled with expert-designed STEAM programming to contribute to our campers’ interest in and understanding of concepts ranging from exploring our natural world, and computer programming to chemistry.
Register for single days for the full package of five camp days scheduled for Monday December 22, 2025 through January 2, 2026. Drop off is from 8:45 to 9:00 am and pick up is from 3:00 to 3:30 pm, with aftercare available from 3:30 - 5:00 pm.
