Food Chemistry

Learn about how we measure the energy in food by doing real tests and experiments. This course will allow you to practice mathematics, observation, and writing while working with real food and real scientific equipment. Due to the use of certain tools and concepts, this lab is recommended for ages 10 and up.

Time: 2:00pm-3:00pm

Age:  10+ (Please adhere to age range)

Class Fee:

Student  = $6.50 

Parent (Pre-registered) = Complimentary

Parent (Walk-in) = $6.00 + tax (Current general admission charge)

Class fee includes museum admission. 

For Parents:

Anyone coming to the Asheville Museum of Science, who is under 16 years of age, must be accompanied by an adult (Guardian must remain in museum).
